Eat Soccer is pleased to announce that it’s owner, Qiana Martin, has been selected by the American Culinary Federation to serve as an advisor for its Chef to Child Foundation.  The international athlete and global soccer ambassador will provide expertise and guidance in developing tools and programs for community initiatives. Established in 1929, the American Culinary Federation is the largest professional chefs’ organization in North America, and the purpose of the American Culinary Federation's Chef & Child Foundation is to foster, promote and encourage awareness of proper nutrition in preschool and elementary-school children, as well as combat childhood obesity. Throughout the year, the foundation funds programs that provide instruction on nutrition and proper eating habits to children.

“I am excited to partner with the Chef & Child Foundation in their effort to promote the healthy development of children,” says Martin.  “Getting kids moving, with activities such as soccer, is only one part of the equation.  Students must be equipped with easy, understandable and fun ways they can eat nutritiously.  And, I am confident that ACFEF’s Farm to Fit modules, which team up physical activity and nutrition education, are going yield big wins for youth in our communities nationwide.”
